Aerial mapping.

A nadir photogrammetry pass over the whole site, processed into an orthomosaic, a surface model, and a point cloud you can take working measurements from.

FAA Part 107 · Fully insured · Serving Central Texas

How it runs

Flown in a grid, processed into data.

A mapping pass is not the same flight as a progress visit. It is a slower grid at a consistent altitude with heavy overlap, because that is what the processing needs.

01 / ON SITE

The grid

An automated nadir grid at fixed altitude with 75 percent forward and 70 percent side overlap. Where the deliverable has to hold dimensions, we pick ground control off the project survey first.

02 / PROCESSING

Photogrammetry

Images are aligned into a dense cloud, a surface model, and a single stitched orthomosaic in the local coordinate system your civil team already works in.

03 / DELIVERY

In your format

GeoTIFF for the GIS team, KMZ for Google Earth, LAS for the point cloud, and a browser link for everyone who just needs to look at it.

Straight answer

This is mapping, not surveying.

Aerial photogrammetry produces excellent documentation and very good working measurements. It is not a boundary survey and we will not present it as one.

  • Flown on drone GPS alone, absolute accuracy lands within a few feet. That is right for overlays, planning, volumes, and progress.
  • Tied to ground control picked off your survey, it tightens considerably. We do this whenever the deliverable implies dimensions.
  • Anything that has to be sealed goes to a licensed surveyor. We hand them the imagery and stay out of the way.
  • We tell you which of the three you are getting before the flight, not after.
